Project S.N.A.P.

The S.N.A.P. Project is a unique participatory experience that will engage up to 500 members of the St. Clair Shores Public Library Community, as they help celebrate the Library’s 80th Birthday.  The final result will be a 4’ x 6’ Full Color Mosaic Mural “The World is in our Hands”. The Mosaic Mural will be installed at the St. Clair Shores Public Library in Spring, 2016 and displayed in the Project S.N.A.P. Online Art Museum. It will serve as a long-lasting connection between the library and all the people who participated in the program, as well as thousands more who visit the library and the Project S.N.A.P. Online Art Museum.

Example 1
Example 2
All residents are invited to draw a picture that will be part of the Mosaic Mural. A Creation Station will be set up in the Library during regular hours of operation until the end of the year, or until we have collected the 500 pieces of artwork. The drawing must be done horizontally on special paper provided by S.N.A.P., and markers must be used to create the picture. The entire paper should be used, with no white spaces along the edges. Our “theme” is “We are the Library.”  There is a theme sheet with words that may inspire the design of the drawing. There is an artwork Entry Form on the back of the drawing that must be completed. This information will be used to access the mural online and locate the drawing. Persons under the age of 18 must have signed parental permission to submit their drawing.  Please join us in this unique endeavor!
