St. Clair Shores Genealogy Group

The St. Clair Shores Genealogy Group meets in the Local History Center of the library for lively discussions about family history. Each meeting will have a topic and some will have guest speakers. Everyone is welcome to these free programs. Stop in to learn new techniques, discover your roots, and make new friends!

Genealogy Resources at the State Level
Thursday, June 22, 7:00 PM

Jessica Harden will be visiting the library to discuss the various resources located at the Archives of Michigan, as well as some of the newest materials that the State has placed online.

Jessica Harden is an archivist at the Archives of Michigan. She currently works with records from the Office of the Great Seal, staffs the reference desk, works with local government agencies that send records to the Archives, gives presentations about Archives of Michigan resources, and contributes to digitization projects. She earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree and archives administration graduate certificate from Wayne State University in 2009.

 

Meeting Dates

The Genealogy Group will meet at 7:00PM in the Library's Local History Center on the fourth Thursday of each month with the exceptions of July, August, November and December. Upcoming meeting dates are:
