Friends Book Discussion Group

The Book Discussion Group, organized by the Friends of the St. Clair Shores Public Library, meets at 1:00 PM on the second Wednesday of every month.

This informal group gathers to converse about a specific reading. Leadership of each monthly discussion passes among group members willing to do so. Some folks drop in just to listen to what others have to say about a particular book. Sometimes, when the conversation gets churning, they can't resist slipping in a word or two. Every opinion is welcome.

Future book selections are posted at every meeting. The choices range from literary press to popular; from fiction to non-fiction. The book chosen may be fresh on the shelves or it may be one you have read or wish you had read in school. Discussion group members have discovered when reading a classic how much their perspective has changed as they accumulate life experiences.

Discussion books are also listed on the kiosk inside the library. So, if you like to talk about books or prefer just to listen, stop by and join us. Everyone is welcome. Past titles are kept in an archived listing
